I spent three weeks in Palestine in June and July of 2003, 18 days in the tiny village of Yanoun. My grandson, Jay Onyszchuk (23), and I (78) arrived at Ben Gurion on Monday, June 16, posing as Christian tourists to the Holy Land so Israel would let us in. I went to work with IWPS (International Women's Peace Service), but Jay joined up with ISM (International Solidarity Movement).

I had my laptop with me and I wrote something about what happened every day. Reading these reports you will get a perspective on life in a rural Palestinian village, but one that is nonetheless affected by the military occupation and the encroachment of the Jewish "settlers."
