Armed and dangerous Jewish settlers made life for the people of Yanoun a living hell from 1996 thru October of 2002, when the villagers simply abandoned their homes, only to be coaxed back by Israeli and international peace activists. My grandson Lee Onyszchuk took this picture at a confrontation. I was warned not to walk up the hills in any direction from the village because of the danger of an assault by setters.
